LLANDUDNO OVAL CROWN GREEN BOWLING CLUB

Automatic Irrigation Installation

Inscapes were asked to design and install a fully automatic irrigation system at Llandudno Oval Bowling Club in North Wales. As well as the usual bespoke challenges that each green offers, we also needed to cater for significant side winds as the site is very near the coast and quite exposed. The solution in this instance was to specify and install Toro Flex series sprinklers, which benefit from adjustable trajectory on the water curtain. This allowed us to commission at 15-degree trajectory’s, resulting in sprinkler arcs being below the surround fence line and therefore protected from the prevailing winds. 
The Rain Bird TM2 control panel, operates in tandem with the bespoke pump station producing 130 litres per minute at 7 bar pressure insure uniform coverage and total water distribution, with applications of up to 3.5mm of water across the green
