Works included precision grading, irrigation upgrades with Rain Bird systems, and the installation of a 4G artificial surround.

This design and build project, delivered in partnership with Neath & Port Talbot CC and Bouygues UK, features an FIH-certified, FIFA-quality pro hockey pitch. Inscapes constructed the engineered base with full drainage, geogrid layer, and porous ET35 elastic tarmac. Despite site challenges, the project included 4m perimeter fencing and an LED floodlight system with Wi-Fi control. The Polytan PoliGrass Terra 218 surface ensures a top-tier playing experience.

Inscapes works on various projects at the Celtic Manor Resort, including drainage improvements, ground works, and turfing for the golf courses and roof garden. Ongoing improvements to the 2010 course involve secondary drainage installation, sand slitting on the 8th, 9th, and 11th Fairways, and upcoming sandbanding. Inscapes also supplies turf, soil, and bark products for the estate.

Inscapes are involved in the annual refurbishment of the pitches which will involve removal of the grass surface, installation of secondary drainage, top dressing sand and or fibre sand as required together with re-levelling, cultivating and seeding.

Works consisted of installing primary drainage, a soakaway on the periphery of the Greens and secondary drainage using the Imant SandCat to move gently over the turf, slitting the surface while incorporating sand, thereby enhancing drainage and improving the rootzone’s properties. Its compact design makes it particularly well-suited for greens and tees.
